Leska

Circles

The two producers Douchka and Les Gordon decided to unite for the best and only the best under the name of Leska. Started in 2015, this is more than a simple side project.

Leska is above all things a lab where the two bros like to experiment with freedom, following their instincts without setting any borders to their universe.

This freedom inhabits the six tracks of Circles (Out on september 15th), making it elusive sometimes. However, they’re always humbly looking at a great and beautiful ambition: to renovate the word Pop, stretching its lines and shades and imagining new ways to define it.
The result is a hybrid musical object with multiple facets, electronic in its flesh and plural in its moods. Circles is haunted by Motown’s ghosts (“L&H”), townships fever (“Welcome To Mandela”) and sublimate by “I Got You”, a hit featuring the voice of Carla Fonseca (Batuk) that already sounds like a classic. A collaboration of choice that perfectly illustrate the will of a band that knows what it wants and where it wants to go, as the children voice samples in “Welcome To Mandela” or the visuals designed for the live performances illustrate it, because Circles is an experience that has to be lived on its own.
