Dj and producer KasbaH is one of the most innovative artist in the french electronic scene, and has toured some of the greatest stages (Cabaret Sauvage, Institut du Monde Arabe, Lollapalooza, Sziget, Fête de L’Humanité, United We Stream, …). Being a resident for 5 years for the Habibi Love parties, KasbaH was able to cement the link between oriental rhythms and the 90s club music. He is all about developing a creative bridge between traditional and club music, called tradi/club.

But KasbaH is no longer traveling alone. By his side is now the collective Musique de Fëte, which he co founded alongside the record label Nowadays Records. The Musique de Fëte collective is all about putting the spotlight on the electronic eastern scene with a series of mixtapes and parties in Europe and the Maghreb.

The collective also brought together KasbaH and the producer Bab, who released  the rai & bass EP Mektoub 303 last June to pay tribute to KasbaH’s Algerian roots. They also created the bi-monthly residency Salle des Fêtes at Cabaret Sauvage in Paris.

And so, after many years celebrating acid, techno, breakbeat and percussive music, the hyperactive producer is now releasing his EP Blédard.es de France.

« What is separating me from my roots besides 752 km of water? I created the Musique de Fëte collective to find out. In two years, this collective has caught up with me and surpassed me, through all the kindness and understanding I’ve received. Being constantly filled with doubts and questions about my art and my place (should I write in French? English or Arabic? Am I legitimate?) I decided to create something in the moment, without thinking. All the tracks were deliberately instinctively and quickly created and edited. This first EP is a tribute to all the « blédards » of France, wherever you come from. We share the tradition and the club music, it’s ours!” KasbaH
