After the success of Talisman and Hypertalisman, Fakear returns with Hypertalisman Rebuild, an EP featuring four club-oriented remixes by international electronic artists FORM, Poté, Y U QT, and Me & George, offering a fresh direction for his sonic universe.
A wild and spontaneous track, 'Ta Fiction' introduces Chien Méchant's upcoming album Métamorphose, set to release in January. It starts with a manipulated drum loop that quickly takes the spotlight. The lyrics tell the story of a pathological liar, someone who ends up believing their own lies, their own science fiction.
"Like That," sees Monkeyrobot combine their love for UK 2-step with a 90s R&B sample, adding layers of Korg and Moog synths for a nostalgic dancefloor feel. It's the first single from Club Nowadays Vol. 4, with more tracks from the compilation coming soon !
"Faubourg Saint-Denis" explores the rich synergy between deep house and jazz. This track aims to be a sonic journey through the streets of Paris at dusk, where deep house’s basslines meet the fluid, colorful, and melodic improvisations of jazz. The primary intention behind this track was to merge the two artists' creative worlds while emphasizing the importance of improvisation in the creative process. "Faubourg Saint-Denis" was, in fact, composed during a jam session at Jeff The Fool's place, with each instrument coming alive, interacting, and conversing with the others.
With the Underwater remix, FORM wanted to create something totally different and unique, using just the right amount of elements from the original track. They started with a sample of KAVYA's crystal-clear voice to get inspired and give it a more clubby, almost UK vibe. By making it more upbeat and using original sounds like that weird pitched bass, they wanted to make a much more danceable remix while keeping their essence as producers.
Gabriel and Facundo are Chien Méchant: a duo that makes you wonder if groove, rock, funk and synths could maybe coexist one more time.
"Sens Contraire" is a track with a pop rock DNA that encapsulates the melancholy of urban life. The lyrics are about moments of personal doubt, as well as moments of self-confidence. And it tells us that it's okay to be sometimes disoriented and to take the wrong path before finally finding the right way.
For Tales & Ahlam, it all started when these two artists met at a mutual friend's concert. From conversation to conversation, they found themselves in the studio recording their first piece together. The musical and human chemistry was such that they continued on their momentum, recording even more. They then began to glimpse the beginnings of this project and their very first EP. This EP "Boussa" ("kiss" in Arabic) aims to blend the origins of dance music (Chicago house, hi-nrg, disco, techno) with Lebanese song. With a real desire for diversity (social, cultural, generational, and of course musical) and to represent the multiple identities that make them up.
“Diggedy” is a sunny track that has already proved its worth on La Fine Equipe's sets. OOGO & Blanka highlight their origins and their love for traditional Brazilian and Moroccan music, always with the desire to mix genres to create new ones. “Diggedy” was born during the Club Nowadays collective's open airs this summer: a small dose of bossa nova, samba and a Chaabi voice on an electro beat.
Nuits Sonores is a festive manifesto, a call to celebration.
After returning from his set at the festival of the same name, KasbaH wanted to create a track in its honor. As he composed, the track became an anthem—an anthem for partying, kindness, and respect. KasbaH's way of reconnecting with the roots of clubbing and sound systems.
Through this Nu Disco anthem, KasbaH extends his heartfelt thanks to the entire Nuits Sonores team and its audience. "Wherever you are, keep making noise, keep making your nights sonores!"
