In the summer of 2020, as the first wave of Covid was coming to an end, Killian Rebreyend and Pablo Auguste decided to launch a new musical project. After sharing the stage in various formations, they felt the need to create music that truly reflected who they were, free from boundaries or predefined frameworks. This is how De Phase was born.

Over the next two years, the duo developed the project through artistic residencies, demos, and live performances across France. Along the way, both personal and artistic encounters played a key role, shaping their journey and enriching their creative vision.

In April 2023, De Phase released their debut EP, Bonjour, on the Plaisance Record label. This 10-track project blends UK jazz, lo-fi hip-hop, and modern house influences, and stands as a genuine family story, bringing together talented guests and close collaborators such as Nancy Khadra, Ndobo Emma, STACE, MATISSE, Guy Rebreyend, Jeenko, Dood, and Matias Arguelles. Conceived as a message of welcome, the EP invites listeners to dive into the duo’s singular universe and embark on a captivating sonic journey.
