Musique de Fëte, Vol. 4

Initiated by the label Nowadays Records and DJ/producer KasbaH, later joined by Bab, the Musique de Fëte collective celebrates an electronic scene inspired by the sounds of the Maghreb and the Middle East. Through a series of compilations and events organized across Europe and the Maghreb, the guiding principles are: Celebration, Dance, Togetherness, Sharing, and Joy.

Blending styles has been at the heart of Nowadays Records since its inception. The encounter with KasbaH and Bab reinforces this identity, rooted in the fusion of genres. Together, they embark on a new musical journey, bringing together both established artists and emerging talents such as Bachar Mar Khalifé, Kabylie Minogue, Zaatar, Moving Still, Tales & Ahlam, and many more.

With Musique de Fëte Vol. 4, a meticulously curated compilation by KasbaH, the artist continues his exploration of Maghreb and Middle Eastern sounds while spotlighting a diverse array of talented artists like Benjemy, Moving Still, Solstice, Zajal, Tales & Ahlam and Dimitri From Paris.

Each track on this compilation is an invitation to discover the creative world of the artists, blending ancestral influences with futuristic visions. From the nostalgia of Oran in Wahran by KasbaH and Rou-H, to the urban energy of Jeddah captured by Moving Still in Neon Hub, each piece tells a unique story.

Highlights include the subtle dialogue between traditional oud and electronic distortions in Njoum Ellil by Benjemy and Ben Sweeden, or La Case Bleue, a vibrant collaboration between Solstice and Nai Barghouti, born from memories and spontaneous inspirations. Zajal reimagines Lebanese traditions with a bold and contemporary approach. Finally, to round off volume 4, Dimitri From Paris joins forces with Tales & Ahlam to offer us a remix of Dakhilo that brings the House and Synth Pop sounds of his early career up to date.

Musique de Fëte Vol. 4 goes beyond being just a compilation. It’s a celebration of sonic diversity and the universal essence of festivity.
