Tales & Ahlam
Boussa (Extended)
Tales & Ahlam‘s EP Boussa (“kiss” in Arabic) aims to blend the origins of dance music (Chicago house, hi-nrg, disco, techno) with Lebanese chanson. With a real desire for diversity (social, cultural, generational, and of course musical) and to represent the multiple identities that make them up. With this in mind, the Franco-Lebanese duo invites these multi-influenced artists to remix their tracks to create a brand new version of the EP: Boussa Extended.
To open the EP, Dimitri From Paris revisits Dakhilo with a nod to his 90s remixes of Cheb Khaled. He modernizes the House and Synth Pop aesthetic of his early work for an elegant, danceable remix, like a return to his roots.
While keeping the emotion of the original track intact, Moving Still transforms Tabiaa into a retro-futuristic electro hit. Her version gives the impression of Ahlam’s voice crossing dimensions, carried by microtonal synths and irresistible ascents.
With Moving Still, Tabiaa becomes a Hi-NRG banger with Italo and acid accents, perfect for the dancefloor. The remix boosts energy while keeping the emotion of the original track intact. Ahlam’s vocals, reworked with a vocoder, take on a cosmic dimension and a retro-futuristic feel.
Hayk Karoyi‘s version of Ahlam is guided by instinct. Touched by Céline’s voice, he delivers an intimate, atmospheric remix, where emotion is at the heart of every sound.
Finally, Sara Dziri transforms Love You into a dance track, perfect for the club, without losing the softness and poetry of the original. A perfect balance between rhythm and reverie.
With Boussa Extended, Tales & Ahlam open up their universe to new horizons, creating a bridge between heritage and modernity, where each artist tells his or her own love story with the original tracks.
