Tales & Ahlam
Ghamra
Tales & Ahlam blend house music and Lebanese song for a sonic journey between Beirut, Paris, Chicago, and Oran.
This French-Lebanese duo, formed by Bab and Celinatique, explores a vibrant sound patchwork that bridges club culture and tradition.
Their debut EP Boussa (“kiss” in Arabic) aimed to merge the roots of dance music (Chicago house, hi-NRG, disco, techno) with the spirit of Lebanese song. The project embodies their desire to represent the multiple identities and forms of diversity that define them (social, cultural, generational, and of course, musical). Welcome back to the future. With their unique style and contagious energy, Tales & Ahlam reinvent electronic music, creating a space where everyone belongs, regardless of origin or background.
After the success of Boussa, Tales & Ahlam return withGhamra, a new sonic voyage where house and Lebanese chanson intertwine more than ever. Still guided by their love of sharing and dance, the French-Lebanese duo dives into deeper sounds, blending electronic rhythms and raï inspiration melodies with renewed intensity.
If Boussa celebrated the kiss, Ghamra — meaning “hug” in Arabic — embodies a musical embrace, a communion between tradition and modernity. Through tracks like Ya Weil, Nar, and Revolution, Tales & Ahlam navigate between Chicago’s hypnotic grooves, the feverish energy of raï and chaâbi, and the timeless echoes of Arabic music.
