Club Nowadays, Vol. 4
For over 11 years, Nowadays Records has been shaping the French electronic scene with boundless energy and total artistic freedom. More than just a label, Nowadays is a big music family where every release, meeting, and event becomes a true celebration. With over a hundred albums and nearly a thousand tracks to its name, Nowadays Records embodies musical diversity across various genres: abstract hip-hop, house, electronica, and alternative pop.
This festive spirit is at the heart of the Club Nowadays project, a true embodiment of the collective’s vision. Through its club compilations and events featuring both label artists and special guests, Nowadays continues to push the boundaries of musical expression.
Today, the label carries on its adventure with the release of its latest V/A, Club Nowadays Vol. 4, a sonic manifesto of its vision for club music. This fourth volume brings together iconic artists and emerging talents:
Fakear, a pillar of the French electronic scene, contributes Let U Go, an ode to his musical family and over 10 years of collaborations. This UK house-inspired track reflects the many nights and DJ sets shared over the years.
With Ma Bounce, OOGO (the label’s founder) and AkselAksel join forces to transcend genres, blending electro with urban influences. This powerful track is deeply inspired by the current UK Garage scene.
For Plage 84, inspiration came from the concept of « tension, » resulting in a precise dance-focused journey between acid and funk.
In Maximum, the duo De Phase celebrates the influence of alternative house figures like Glenn Astro. Collaborating with Australian drummer Alexander Flood, they bring an organic and jazzy dimension to the track.
A drum groove, a bassline, a touch of synth magic… here is Knock Knock by Nikitch !
Finally, Monkey Robot, long-time enthusiasts of UK 2-step, deliver a nostalgic dancefloor gem. Featuring 90’s R&B samples alongside the sounds of the Korg Minilogue and Moog Little Phatty, the track is a perfect homage to their influences.
